Supporting the launch of The Braintree Hub with a fast, accessible website and a custom Laravel admin tool to track real-time supermarket activity - delivered in just 10 days.
The Braintree Hub, a new community charity in Essex, needed a digital foundation to support its mission of wellbeing and local impact. We delivered a mobile-first WordPress website and a custom Laravel-based admin system for real-time member tracking in their community supermarket - all within a tight 10-day deadline. The result: a clean, intuitive platform that empowers staff and connects residents to vital services.
The Braintree Hub is a new community-focused charity based in Braintree, Essex. It’s an extension of the well-established Witham Hub, with a mission to support local residents through access to wellbeing services, affordable food, and inclusive outreach programmes.

As a newly established charity in Braintree, Essex, The Braintree Hub needed a digital presence that could launch quickly, communicate clearly, and support real community outcomes from day one. With a strong legacy behind them through the Witham Hub, their goal was to deliver a website and supporting tools that reflected their commitment to wellbeing, dignity, and inclusive community support - all within a strict ten-day timeline.
We began by designing and developing a WordPress website tailored specifically for accessibility and clarity. The layout was mobile-first and fully responsive, ensuring everyone in the community could access key information easily. From highlighting services and sharing their mission to integrating donation tools and contact forms, every element was designed to invite engagement and build trust. The site’s tone reflected the Hub’s values - approachable, straightforward, and people-first.
Alongside the website, we developed a custom admin system to manage supermarket membership activity. Built using Laravel, the backend system allows staff to track real-time member usage, onboard new members, and filter data through a clean, intuitive dashboard. The interface was designed with simplicity in mind, ensuring that team members and volunteers could use it without technical barriers. With role-based permissions and smart reporting tools, it gives The Braintree Hub the control they need without unnecessary complexity.
Despite the tight deadline, the project launched on time with everything in place - from front-facing communications to backend infrastructure. The team received immediate positive feedback from both trustees and local residents. With digital tools that enhance, rather than complicate, their mission, The Braintree Hub now has a strong foundation to grow their reach and impact.
